Inflexible Industry Practice

Property agents may become inflexible in their marketing strategies after working in the industry for an extended period of time. Within big agency chains, the marketing strategies of property agents are restricted by the policies and procedural manuals handed down to franchisees.  The government and the industry bodies have also provided regulatory framework and guidelines for practicing agencies to follow, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.

Following various guidance, agents may become accustomed to conventional ways of property marketing and selling.  They may cease to be interested in any innovative idea beyond their training and experience.  This inflexible marketing may lead to the property potential being overlooked and undersold for its worth.
